Prepped
Atomic Buffalo Turds (ABTs) are a favorite snack for Big Green Eggers. They're easy too. Buy large jalapeno peppers, cut in half, scoop out the inside pulp and seeds, then fill with meat of your choice that you've cooked previously (I used spicy Italian sausage), cream cheese or sour cream, and any thing else you think would taste good, then close the halves, wrap with lean bacon, and hold together with toothpics.
Mini doing her thing
I cooked these on Mini for about 18 minutes or so (9 minutes per side) at about 500F dome. Basically, cook until the bacon looks crispy (using lean bacon helps you achieve this).
Ready to eat
Watch out for the toothpics! These are a quick, delicious appetizer - an impressive presentation for very little work.
